Change is inevitable! The problems that occur because of change are addressed in this workshop. Learn how to plan for change. Become a proactive change agent that gains commitment from the organization.

This program provides a template on how to plan for change. The participants, in teams, complete their workbooks based on a work related change. The template is provided in electronic form so the participants can use it in the workplace.

MAJOR COURSE OBJECTIVES The course is designed to enable participants to:

  • Discuss the benefits and challenges of change
  • Determine power centers and stakeholders within one’s organization
  • Analyze one’s work environment and work related changes
  • Discover the skills needed to be a change agent and the importance of self-analysis
  • Learn why people resist change and how to deal with this resistance
  • Practice analyzing work systems and tasks using the case study
  • Analyze how to manage change
  • Discuss how to evaluate and reinforce change

Participants completing this workshop will gain or enhance their skills in:

  • Being an effective change agent
  • Understanding how to prepare for change using the template provided
  • Handling resistance to change in a more positive way
